Sita

Sita, in Hindu mythology is the wife of Rama (an avatar of Vishnu); she was kidnapped by King Ravana of the Rakshas, but rescued by her husband, who then became King of Ayodhya.

Sita, is often cited as an example for a model wife by Hindus.
