Gorzów Wielkopolski

Gorzów Wielkopolski is a city in north-western Poland, on Warta river, with 126,000 inhabitants (1999). Since 1999, it is one of the two capitals of Lubusz Voivodship (the other is Zielona Góra), previously capital of Gorzow Wielkopolski Voivodship (1975-1998).

Gorzów is situated away from important traffic routes within a thin populated region. There are connections to Szczecin, Wroclaw and Pila.
