Dornbirn,
Austria. The company produces ballasts for the newly introduced fluorescent light fittings.

Thorn Lighting was founded in
1928 by Jules Thorn. In
1981 Thorn introduces the 2D compact fluorescent lamp, an energy saving replacement for the ordinary light bulb. In
