William Milliken

William G. Milliken (born 1922) was a Republican Governor of Michigan(USA). Milliken served in WWII. He was Michigan state senator in the early 1960's. He served as lieutenant governor from 1965-1969. Milliken became governor after governor George W. Romney left to serve in Richard Nixon's cabinet. Milliken was considered to be a moderate governor in the Nelson A. Rockefeller mold. He served another three terms(1969-1983).
