Ven

Ven, or Hven, is a small Swedish island in the Öresund strait, between Sweden and Denmark. The island was historically under Danish rule, but it fell to Swedish hands after the Treaty of Roskilde in 1658, as a part of Scania. Astronomer Tycho Brahe (1546-1601) built here two observatories, Uraniborg and Stjerneborg.
