Timocharis

Timocharis (circa 320 B.C - 260 B.C) was a Greek philosopher.

Timocharis was probably born in Alexandria and was Euclid's (circa 365 BC-275 BC) contemporary. Practically nothing more is known from his life.

With Aristillus he made the first star catalogue, which later helped Hipparchus to determine the first value of the precession of the equinoxes.
