Pamulaparthi Venkata Narasimha Rao (born June 28,1921) was the ninth Prime Minister of the Republic of India.

A polyglot, he can read and write 17 languages. His credits include ruling India continuously for five years with a minority government, liberalising the Indian economy, and stewarding India's foray into many hi-tech industries.
