Operation Baobab

During World War II, Operation Baobab was a commando raid against an Italian railroad target by a small Special Air Service team.

The raiders were landed on 30 January, 1944. They destroyed the critical bridge between Pesaro and Fano to support the Shingle landings at Anzio on 22 January.
