Norwegian Student Choral Society

The Norwegian Student Choral Society (DnS) was founded in 1845. It is the official male voice choir at the University of Oslo.

The Norwegian Student Choral Society is both a progressive male voice choir with a driving ambition and at the same time a society of rich musical tradition reaching back to the Norwegian national-romantic period of the 19th Century. This vital tradition is shared with all the other academic choirs of the Nordic countries.

The choir has during recent years (2003) gone through a period of reforms where musical schooling and the recruitment of young singers have enjoyed a revival.
