## History

\nNatchitoches Parish was created by the act of April 10,

1805 that divided the

Louisiana Territory into 12

parishes, including

Orleans,

Iberville,

Rapides and Natchitoches. Several parishes were subsequently organized out of Natchitoches Parish.
