London Residuary Body
The London Residuary Body
was a body set up in 1985
to excercise the functions of Greater London Council
after the council's abolition in 1986
. Similar residuary bodies were set up for the metropolitan counties
It functioned as a successor to the Inner London Education Authority for a while, and disposed of various assets owned by the County Council, including County Hall.
It was wound up in 1992.
