Kokkola

Kokkola, or Karleby in Swedish, is a municipality in Ostrobothnia, Finland. The city of Kokkola/Karleby was chartered in 1620. The municipality is bi-lingual with 80 % Finnish speakers and approximately 20 % Swedish speakers.

Note: There is also a municipality of Nykarleby and a Swedish municipality of Älvkarleby.
