Junior BrownJunior Brown

singer from Kirksville, Indiana. He didn't begin a musical career until 1985
, when he invented a double-necked guitar with Michael Stevens (see 1985 in music
). He called it a "guit-steel". Brown quickly became a local success in Austin, Texas
at the Continental Club. His debut album was 1993
's 12 Shades of Brown
; it was followed by Guit with It

). Both albums cemented his reputation as one of the more critically acclaimed country singers of the 1980s
, though he was unable to capitalize on his reputation.
In 1995 (1995 in music), Brown made a comeback bid wth Semi Crazy, followed by 1997's (1997 in music) The Long Walk Back.
