Johnny Young

Johnny Young is an Australian singer, composer and television host.

After rising to fame in the mid-1960s as a singer (his biggest hit probably a slow cover version of The Beatles' "All My Lovin"), he subsequently became the host of a music show called The Go Show in 1968 and, later, Young Talent Time, a variety show something like the Mouseketeers which ran from 1971 to 1988.

As a songwriter, his most notable work is probably the psychedelia-influenced "The Real Thing", a seminal Australian pop song of the late 1960s recorded by Russell Morris (produced by another Australian music industry notable Ian Meldrum).

After the end of YTT, Young has worked as a radio disc jockey and sometimes performs live.
