Jim Marshall

Jim Marshall (born March 31 1948), American politician, has been a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives since 2003, representing the 3rd District of Georgia. He was born in Ithaca, New York, was educated at Princeton University and Boston University, served in the United States Army, and was a lawyer, a faculty member at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia and mayor of Macon before entering the House.

Marshall is a candidate for the Democratic nomination for the Senate seat being vacated by retiring Democratic Senator Zell Miller.
