The concept of the Evil Eye may or may not be regarded as Islamic mythology, since it can not be found in Islamic sacred writings, and yet has been and is being held to be true by millions of Muslims. It is a part of the so-called Folk Islam, a set of superstitions and practices transmitted orally from generation to generation.
