The International Scout Jamboree, usually referred to as the World Jamboree, is a gathering of Scouts / Boy Scouts from all over the world. Jamborees are held every four years.
The official denomination is World Scout Jamboree or Jamboree Mondial (in French). The Jamborees are now organised by the World Organization of the Scout Movement.
In addition to this event, two other worldwide Scouting events occur every year : the simultaneous World Scout Jamboree On the Air (JOTA) and the World Scout Jamboree On the Internet (JOTI). Recently the Jamboree on the Trail (JOTT) has been founded as an international day of hiking.
