Hot Tuna

Hot Tuna was an American psychedelic rock band, formed by Jack Casady and Jorma Kaukonen as an acoustic spin-off of Jefferson Airplane. Their original name was Hot Shit. Casady and Kaukonen added Will Scarlet on harmonica and recorded 1970's Hot Tuna, which was followed by a long-series of well-received albums that played only to a small and devoted cult following. They are often considered a forerunner of modern jam bands like Phish or Dave Matthews Band.
