Hampi

Hampi was the historic capital of the Vijayanagara kingdom situated along the Tungabhadra river in the Southern part of India in the modern state of Karnataka. Most of the structures in this city were built in the 16th century AD. The whole city is in a ruined state due to the ravages of war.
