Gamle Oslo

The district Gamle Oslo of the city of Oslo, Norway has 34,140 inhabitants as of January 1, 2004, and covers an area of 7.45 km².

The district has several landmarks and large parks, including the Edvard Munch Museum, the Botanical Gardens and a medieval park.

The name means "Old Oslo". During the time that present Oslo was named Christiania, this district was called Oslo.
