European School, Culham

The European School in Culham, Oxfordshire, is one of 9 European schools around Europe and the only one in Britain and currently has around 900 primary (5-12 years old) and secondary (12-18 years old) students.

The European School at Culham primarily hosts children whose parents work at nearby international scientific institutes such as the Harwell International Business Centre and the Joint European Torus (also in Culham).

All the European Schools offer a unique secondary qualification called the European Baccalaureate which requires students to take 11 subjects, all of which are weighted equally for the final mark (given as a percentage, where 60% is a pass).
