Eaton's

Eaton's was once Canada's largest department store retailer. It was founded in 1869. Following financial troubles in the 1990s, Eaton's finally declared bankruptcy in 1999, after numerous turnaround attempts, and was acquired by Sears Canada.

Eaton's was named after Timothy Eaton, co-founder of Eaton's.
