\nThe census area has a total area of 54,204 km² (20,928 mi²). 48,367 km² (18,675 mi²) of it is land and 5,837 km² (2,254 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 10.77% water.

The average household size is 3.20 and the average family size is 3.84.
