Daniel Sleator
Daniel Dominic Kaplan Sleator is a professor of
computer science at
Carnegie Mellon University. With
Robert Tarjan, he invented the
splay tree data structure and developed the technique of
competitive analysis for on-line algorithms. He is the brother of young adult science fiction author
William Sleator.
