Curwensville is a borough located in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 2,650.

census of 2000, there are 2,650 people, 1,144 households, and 758 families residing in the borough. The population density is 454.7/km² (1,178.4/mi²). There are 1,254 housing units at an average density of 215.2/km² (557.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 99.02% White, 0.34% African American, 0.23% Native American, 0.08% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.04% from other races, and 0.30% from two or more races. 0.30% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 1,144 households out of which 28.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.2% are married couples living together, 11.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 33.7% are non-families. 30.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 15.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.29 and the average family size is 2.84. In the borough the population is spread out with 22.8% under the age of 18, 7.5% from 18 to 24, 26.6% from 25 to 44, 24.0% from 45 to 64, and 19.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 40 years. For every 100 females there are 82.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 80.0 males. The median income for a household in the borough is $27,281, and the median income for a family is $36,197. Males have a median income of $28,145 versus $18,598 for females.
