Chesapeake and Delaware Canal
The
Chesapeake and Delaware Canal, or C&D Canal, connects the
Delaware River with the
Chesapeake Bay. It is in the
Americann states of
Maryland and
Delaware. Construction of the canal began in
1804, but was not officially opened for business until
1829.
