The Alaskan Bush
is a cultural as well as geographic division of the state of Alaska
in the United States
. One definition might be that it is the part of Alaska that is off the continental road system. Another might be by the density of human population .
There are hub towns of a few thousand people: Barrow, Nome, Kotzebue, St. Mary's, Bethel, Dillingham, Dutch Harbor, and Cordova, and a multitude of settlements and villages.
