Yurt

A Yurt, or a Ger (note: the word Ger also is a Hebrew term for "a convert to Judaism", and should not be confused with yurt) is a traditional home of nomads in Mongolia, on the cold, dry steppes of Central Asia.

They are constructed of a light wood frame, with textile and/or leather sheathing.

Yurts are popular with followers of the New Age religion, who like the simple construction and feel closer to nature in a yurt. They are also popular with residents of the Pacific Northwest region of the United States.
