Yorkville is a village located in Oneida County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 2,675.

Demographics

\nAs of the
census of 2000, there are 2,675 people, 1,160 households, and 718 families residing in the village. The population density is 1,541.5/km² (4,005.7/mi²). There are 1,259 housing units at an average density of 725.5/km² (1,885.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 98.24% White, 0.49% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.49% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.22% from other races, and 0.56% from two or more races. 1.16% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 1,160 households out of which 27.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.9% are married couples living together, 14.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 38.1% are non-families. 33.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 16.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.30 and the average family size is 2.91. In the village the population is spread out with 22.5% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 27.1% from 25 to 44, 22.4% from 45 to 64, and 19.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 39 years. For every 100 females there are 88.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 87.0 males. The median income for a household in the village is $33,490, and the median income for a family is $42,813. Males have a median income of $29,575 versus $22,382 for females. The per capita income for the village is $17,727. 12.1% of the population and 10.1% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 23.7% are under the age of 18 and 8.2% are 65 or older.
