Yachats is a city located in Lincoln County, Oregon. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 617.

census of 2000, there are 617 people, 333 households, and 185 families residing in the city. The population density is 267.7/km² (693.1/mi²). There are 619 housing units at an average density of 268.5/km² (695.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 96.27% White, 0.16% African American, 0.32% Native American, 0.81% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 2.43% from two or more races. 2.76% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 333 households out of which 10.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.8% are married couples living together, 7.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 44.4% are non-families. 37.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 15.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 1.85 and the average family size is 2.34.
