Winny is japanese peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing program which rides on the Freenet network and which claimed to keep user identities untraceable developed by 47-shi(47氏).
There have been news report saying the devlopper had his home searched by police and that two users who have been sharing copyrighted material have been arrested, althought the method the police used to track down the users is not known.
