West Sadsbury Township is a township located in Chester County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 2,444.

\nAccording to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 27.6 km² (10.7 mi²). 27.6 km² (10.7 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

\nAs of the census of 2000, there are 2,444 people, 802 households, and 645 families residing in the township. The population density is 88.4/km² (229.1/mi²). There are 818 housing units at an average density of 29.6/km² (76.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 93.45% White, 5.16% African American, 0.16% Native American, 0.29% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.33% from other races, and 0.61% from two or more races. 0.78% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 802 households out of which 39.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.2% are married couples living together, 7.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 19.5% are non-families. 16.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.04 and the average family size is 3.43. In the township the population is spread out with 29.3% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 28.7% from 25 to 44, 24.3% from 45 to 64, and 10.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 102.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 100.8 males. The median income for a household in the township is $52,031, and the median income for a family is $60,909. Males have a median income of $40,765 versus $25,966 for females.
