Water of Leith
The Water of Leith
is the river
flowing through Edinburgh
. It is 35 km (24 m) long and rises
in the Colzium Springs at Millstone Rig of the Pentland Hills and flows into the Firth of Forth
. It travels through Harperrigg Reservoir, past the ruins of Cairns Castle, through Balerno, Currie, Juniper Green, Colinton, Slateford, Longstone, Saughton, Roseburn, Dean Village
, Stockbridge, Silvermills, Warriston, Canonmills and Bonnington to Leith.
