Virgil Earp

Virgil Earp (July 18, 1843 - October 19, 1905), born in Ohio County, was one of the men involved in the Gunfight at O.K. Corral. In February 1860, Earp married Ellen Sysdem. A year later, in 1861, After the start of the Civil War, Earp joined the Union army. In October 1880, he became city marshal of Tombstone, Arizona.
