Uto-Aztecan

Uto-Aztecan is a family of Native American languages found mostly among peoples native to the Southwest of the USA and northwestern Mexico. Uto-Aztecan-speaking peoples range from California to Guatemala.

The family is normally split into a northern branch, including among others Paiute, Shoshone, and Hopi, and a southern branch, including Tarahumara and Nahuatl.
