USS Theodore Roosevelt

Two vessels of the United States Navy have been named USS Theodore Roosevelt, in honor of Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President and an important supporter of the Navy.

• The first Theodore Roosevelt (SSBN-600) was a ballistic missile submarine in service from 1961 to 1982.

• The second Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) is a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier commissioned in 1986 and on active service as of 2004.
