Unification Thought

Unification Thought is the philosophical system of the Unification Church and is based on the Divine Principle.

Dr. Sang Hun Lee systematized the ideas of Unification Thought from the sermons of Rev. Moon and conversations with him as well. He always took pains to insist that he was not the "author" of the ideas. Later, he succumbed to the Western standard requiring authors to place their names on their books but took elaborate pains to ensure the reader's understanding that the origin (and credit) for the ideas was Sun Myung Moon.

The main elements of Unification Thought are:

Give and Take

Give and take is a process of interaction in which one party (the
subject) provides some sort of benefit to another party (the object), who upon taking in this boon reciprocates. The term give and take is often used in the context of conversations which spark new ideas.

In Unification Theology, give and take (sometimes termed the action of giving and receiving is held to provide all the energy necessary for existence, multiplication and action (see Unification Church).

Books about Unification Thought went through various editions in Korean, Japanese and English. The text of "Essentials Of Unification Thought " is available online at [1]
