Biography

Parker grew up in the small town of Conifer, Colorado. As a kid, he drew a figure named Mr. Hankey, who would go on to become a holiday symbol of South Park. He has black belt in tae kwon do, and was an honor student in high school, which he attended in Evergreen and Fairplay, Colorado.

Parker transferred to Colorado University at Boulder, Colorado after a year at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. At UCB, he studied film and classical music. While double-majoring in Japanese and music, he lived in Japan for a spell.

In the early 1990s, Parker met Matt Stone. The two created two cartoon features featuring the four boys who would be the main characters in South Park, and the rest, they say, is history.

Parker and his family are the basis for the fictional character of Stan Marsh. Even the character of Wendy Testaburger is based on one of Parker's old flames.
