The Tube (television program)

The Tube was an innovative United Kingdom music television programme of the 1980s, produced in Newcastle by Tyne Tees Television and broadcast on Channel 4 television. Presented by such talented luminaries as Jools Holland, Manchester's Terry Christian, and the late Paula Yates, The Tube was a showcase for many emerging 80s bands. On one occasion late in the show's run, Holland was reprimanded by Channel 4 for accidentally swearing during a live trailer for the show.
