The Times of India

The Times of India is India's leading English language daily and the world's largest circulated English daily broadsheet. It is published from ten cities across India, has a circulation of over 2.14 million copies, and is read by over 4.42 million people.

It was founded in 1838 as The Bombay Times and Journal of Commerce, and served the British residents of western India. It adopted its present name in 1861. It is owned by India's largest media group, Bennett, Coleman & Co., which also publishes The Economic Times, the Navbharat Times, the Maharashtra Times, Femina, and Filmfare.
