The Sweetest Thing

The film The Sweetest Thing, a romantic comedy, was made in 2002.

Written by Nancy Pimental, it was directed by Roger Kumble and starred Cameron Diaz, Selma Blair and Christina Applegate.

The plot begins with Christina Walters (Diaz) and Courtney Rockcliffe (Applegate) attempting to ease their roommate Jane Burn's (Blair) relationship-induced depression by taking her on a girls' night out. During that evening Walters meets Peter Donahue and falls for him. However, having missed her chance that evening, Walters and Rockcliffe spend the rest of the movie chasing him down.
