Tel-Aviv central bus station

The Tel Aviv central bus station is the largest bus station in the world, and lately there was an idea to even expand it. The built area is 230,000 square meters and total area is 44 dunams.
The construction began December 14, 1967 and stopped because it was no rentable to open it. After a great deal of years it was decided to open the station, whose construction was finally completed August 18, 1993.
According to the original plan to build the main bus station, there was a proposal to build a 10-story office building above it.
The building, which mainly composes of a shopping mall and terminals, contains 7 floors, 29 escalators, 13 fast elevators and more than 1000 shops.
