St. Francis National Forest

The St. Francis National Forest is a 22,600 acre National Forest located in eastern Arkansas near the city of Marianna.

It is one of the smallest and most diverse forests in the country. The St. Francis National Forest gets its name from the nearby St. Francis River. The forest rests on the slopes of Crowley's Ridge and nearby Mississippi River bottomland. The forest contains a 625-acre lake that is a popular fishing destination
