census of 2000, there are 1,108 people, 382 households, and 310 families residing in the town. The population density is 14.4/km² (37.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 97.74% White, 0.09% African American, 0.72% Native American, 0.09% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.09% from other races, and 1.26% from two or more races. 0.81% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 382 households out of which 43.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.9% are married couples living together, 9.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 18.6% are non-families. 10.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.90 and the average family size is 3.08.
