Singular

When used as a simple adjective in English, singular usually means unique.

The singular is one of two grammatical numbers in English; the other is the plural.

In mathematics, a square matrix is called singular if it is not invertible.

In complex analysis, a singular point of a function f is a point such that f is analytic in its neighbourhood but not at it. See mathematical singularity.
