Shavo Odadjian

Shavo Odadjian (born April 22, 1974) is the Armenian-born bass-player for the Los Angeles-based alternative metal beat combo, System of a Down. Shavo is a huge KISS fan. Shavo skate boarded as a kid. He used to draw big KISS logos on the backs of tests and homework in school. He performed the songs "Toxicity" and "Aerials" which were made into music videos. He was the manager of SOIL from 1993 until 1995 and then became the bassist of System Of A Down. Shavo and their drummer, Andy Khachaturian, didn't get along at all. Andy also wanted to take Serj's position as singer, but the rest of the band didn't agree. Andy left and is now the singer of Apex Theory. They found John Dolmayan and everything just 'clicked'. In Shavo's life, he went to a private Christian School. When his Grandmother passed he lost all faith and stopped praying completely. Shavo and his grandmother were very close. He now says he prays to his own God.
