Saint Albans, Vermont
St. Albans is a town in
Vermont, on the shore of
Lake Champlain.
It was the site of the northernmost "battle" of the
American Civil War. Gunfire and
robbery caused terror when Confederate soldiers rode in from the north.
The Vermont Maple Festival celebrates all things maple, especially maple syrup.
