Ron Kovic

Ron Kovic (born July 4, 1946) is a Vietnam War veteran who was crippled in combat and eventually became a peace activist.

He wrote the autobiography, Born On The Fourth of July, which was adapted as a film directed by Oliver Stone and starring Tom Cruise.

In November 2003 he joined the large protests in London against the visit of George W. Bush.
