Rockhurst University

Rockhurst University is one of 28 Jesuit universities and colleges in the United States. It is located in Kansas City, Missouri, which is also home to Rockhurst High School, also run by the Jesuits. Both were founded in 1910 as a combined high school and college, splitting into separate high school and college in 1923.

The faculty, staff and students are made up of people from many religious traditions as well as of people from ethical and humanitarian traditions which are not religious.

Students receive two transcripts when they graduate--one for academic work and another for their service activities; 85 percent of them participate in community service.
