Robinson College, Cambridge

Robinson College was founded in 1979 as the direct result of an offer of £18 million by the British philanthropist David Robinson to endow a large new College. As such it is the newest of all the Cambridge colleges. By 1993, the College had reached a steady state of 56 Fellows and 485 junior members. It is located 0.5 miles from the city centre, opposite the University Library.
